Hudson Democrats & Sun News Favor Chandra for Ohio Attorney General

Cleveland, Ohio - Subodh Chandra, Democratic Candidate for Ohio Attorney General, picked up more endorsements this week from the Hudson Democrats and the Sun News Editorial Department. In what is shaping up to be a hotly contested Primary Election, the momentum for Chandra grows daily as he continues to win the battle of endorsements.

James Field, President of the Hudson Democrats, said that Chandra won over his organization when he spoke to them on March 22. The organization voted overwhelmingly to endorse Chandra and will wholeheartedly encourage all Democrats to vote for him on May 2.

"Chandra is incredibly intelligent and has a great legal and management background as Law Director for the City of Cleveland. But most importantly, Chandra impressed us with his integrity, dedication, and vision for how the Attorney General can work for a better Ohio," said Field.

The Sun News Editorial Department also endorsed Chandra this week, stating that "Chandra, of Cleveland, is a hard working, dedicated public servant who would be a strong advocate for the people. He said outside counsel fees could be cut drastically, which would result in a significant savings for the cash strapped state, much like what he did in Cleveland, which saved the city millions."

Earlier this week, Chandra was also endorsed by the Plain Dealer and the Akron Beacon Journal. Other area endorsements for Chandra include Hudson City Councilman Mike Moran, Summit County Councilman Nick Konstandaras, Akron City Council President Marco Sommerville, and the United Steel Workers of America (USWA) - Local 2L, Akron.

The Tri-County AFL-CIO, which includes over 1,800 union members from Summit, Trumbull, and Medina Counties, also endorsed Chandra last month. Tri-County AFL-CIO Executive Secretary Treasurer, John Wagner noted in his endorsement that, "Chandra has a clear vision for the Attorney General's office and communicates it perfectly. He is a candidate of the highest caliber and brings charisma, diversity, and added excitement to the Democratic ticket."
